There is a straight line from Stephen Miller/Kristi Noem and ICE’s murder of Renee Good

The ICE agent must be prosecuted

The revolting murder of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good—a mother of three who had just dropped off her six-year-old at school-did not happen in a vacuum. The climate that convinced an ICE agent that he could murder an unarmed woman execution style and not face any penalties was fostered over the past few months by the Trump regime—especially Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem and Trump’s DOJ.

And the response of the Trump regime in blindly defending the ICE shooter is a warning to us all. They are telling you that Trump’s henchmen could literally kill you or your family for any reason and they will defend it. That is what a fascist regime looks like. That is why the prosecution of the ICE killer by state official is desperately needed to save lives—and perhaps even to save our Republic.

Let’s take a step back to see how we got here. Over the summer, ICE was increasingly engaging in violent activists. All of this was because Stephen Miller and Kristi Noem had demanded in May that ICE officers begin arresting 3,000 people per day as reported at the time. This is the same Noem who in June defended ICE agents when they assaulted US Senator Alex Padilla and while in Los Angeles vowed that “We are staying here to liberate the city from the socialists and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country.” And Miller is animated by the white nationalist dream of removing as many Brown people from possible from our soil.

By mid-October there were headlines that told us “Many fear ICE tactics are growing more violent.” ICE and DHS had just attacked a residential apartment building in Chicago complete with Blackhawk helicopters and arrested all in the building including US citizens. ICE agents in Chicago area were also seen in a viral video shooting chemical balls at peacefully protesting Pastor David Black-who has since sued ICE.

Reporters who were simply covering ICE events were being assaulted. Worse, ICE agents shot Marimar Martinez when she was in her car. DHS labeled her a “domestic terrorist” who said she had “ambushed” and “rammed” agents with her vehicle. But the charges were dropped not long after with her lawyer stating point blank, “These agents were lying about what happened.” He added, “These agents jumped out and shot Ms. Martinez, a U.S. citizen, whose only crime was warning her fellow community members that ICE was in the neighborhood.” (Obviously, this is eerily similar to the killing Wednesday.)

With this backlash building, that is when Stephen Miller appeared on Fox News on October 24, 2025, to tell ICE to keep doing what they are doing. And even more dangerously, he told them they were above the law and immune from any accountability by state officials. In that interview, Miller was asked about the Illinois Gov JB Pritzker’s threat to arrest ICE agents if they violate state law. In response Miller stated: “To all ICE officers, you have federal immunity in the conduct of your duties.” Miller continued, “And anybody who lays a hand on you or tries to stop you or tries to obstruct you is committing a felony.” (See clip below)

This very position was repeated by Trump’s own DOJ in a letter on Oct 23, 2025 from Deputy AG Todd Blanche to officials in California who were contemplating holding ICE agents accountable for state law violations. Blanche wrote in that letter which was publicly released, “The Department of Justice views any arrests of federal agents and officers in the performance of their official duties as both illegal and futile.”

There is no subtlety here. Miller and Trump’s DOJ told ICE agents that they are above the law. That state and local officials can never hold them accountable for their crimes. While that is legally wrong given federal officers have been prosecuted for state crimes in the past, the message they intentionally sent to ICE is that you can literally do whatever you want in the service of Trump and you are immune. You can assault people, harass them and even shoot and kill US citizen as they did Wednesday with Renee Good.

And please understand the response of Noem and other Trump officials in vocally defending the murder of Renee Good is laying the groundwork for killing even more Americans who dare to stand up to this rogue regime. We saw JD Vance post online that Renee Good was a “deranged leftist.” Trump also defended the officer’s kill shots and smeared the left.

But the most despicable example came from Noem She held a press conference shortly after the shooting saying that what happened was “an act of domestic terrorism.” Yes, she labeled Renee Good--a mother of three who was just executed--a “terrorist.” That is not based on any facts. That is a cold-blooded effort to defend murder by saying anyone who opposes our regime is a terrorist. It’s the same mentality of “you are either with us or the terrorists” but in this case it’s not about foreign terrorists but Americans who dare refuse to submit to the Trump regime.

Noem continued on to declare that the officer had acted “defensively” to protect others around him. Then why was the only officer with a weapon drawn the one who stood on the passengers side of Good’s car and shot her? If there was a true threat, all the officers would’ve had weapons drawn and been in a defensive position. But you can see from the video the other ICE agents were caught off guard by the shooting—clearly because they were not concerned about their safety and nothing merited the use of deadly force.

And to be clear, DOJ’s own website on the use of deadly force expressly states that it can not be used in this fact scenario. As you can see below, DOJ’s guidelines for federal officers says firearms should not be used simply to disable a moving vehicle.

In addition, the policy allows deadly force only in limited circumstances, such as when someone in the vehicle is threatening another person with deadly force and “no other objectively reasonable means of defense appear to exist, which includes moving out of the path of the vehicle.” That last part is key. Obviously, the officer who murdered Good could move out of the path of the car because he did just that—yet freeze frame images show him still shooting into the passenger side window as the car was passing him. There is zero justification for those shots.

I spoke to Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison on Thursday morning who is conducting an investigation into the shooting. (I’ll share that interview later today.) AG Ellison made it clear that there is no absolute immunity for ICE agents if they violate state laws including of course murder.

Renee Good is dead because of the Trump regime—especially Miller and Noem. In her memory, we must remain steadfast in ensuring that the ICE shooter and all involved in her murder be brought to justice!
