The pioneering Center for Jewish Leadership officially launched at Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership on October 26, 2014, with a groundbreaking symposium titled Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Jewish Leadership. We were excited to bring together on one stage innovative leaders from US and Israel. The impressive panel of presenters transcended the line between the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, a scope that was equally reflected by those in the audience. It is now my pleasure to share videos of the speaker’s presentations. He has invested in more than 140 startups, bringing 12 to values in excess of $100 million. A passionate speaker, he appears regularly on CNN, CNBC, and Bloomberg.

Panelists Ariel Beery, of social venture accelerator PresenTense, is the co-founder of MobileOCT, an Israeli startup that enables mobile phones to detect cancer. Jay Goltz is a local entrepreneur who pioneered the evolution of Chicago's Clybourn Corridor. He blogs about small business for the New York Times. Dr. Hal M. Lewis is president/CEO of Spertus Institute and a recognized expert on Jewish leadership. Toby Rubin is the founder/CEO of Upstart, a national nonprofit that drives social entrepreneurship.
