City's Small Business TechExpo Solution for Entrepreneurs


One-day conference offers 100 tech exhibitors, workshops and free websites to support local business owners

It’s no secret that in today’s tough economy, businesses owners face many challenges - and technology is the key to position their business to get ahead in this difficult time .To help businesses address their needs, the City of Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) is hosting the Chicago TechExpo, coming to the UIC Forum on October 6, 2010.

Now in its second year, the Chicago TechExpo “The right technology. The right time.,” was created in Chicago with the sole purpose of introducing and connecting small business owners to technology solutions to help grow their business. At this event, entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to not only meet one-on-one with experts from leading technology companies but attend workshops that will help them leverage digital opportunities to operate smarter businesses.

”Today’s technology presents new opportunities for businesses both big and small. As businesses downsize and reinvent themselves, they need new solutions to thrive,” said Norma Reyes, BACP Commissioner. “This is an opportunity for businesses to connect with the right technology that will help them stay competitive.”

The Chicago Tech Expo is a one-day conference provides a mix of technology information / education and one-on-one interaction with leading technology experts that benefits anyone who owns or operates a business or someone looking to start a business.
