NEW ART FOR THE TULLMAN COLLECTION FROM WILLIAM ROSE - "ABOUT FACE"

"ABOUT FACE"

Kansas artist, William Rose has been creating artwork for only about 7 years, having discovered a talent for drawing while doodling on his daughter's art class sketchpad. He soon began accepting requests for commissioned portraits, and has attracted a significant number of private collectors.

Recently he has been gaining local and national attention for his figurative and portrait work. Following a cover feature with American Artist Magazine, Bill was asked to produce all of the artwork that appears in a new film in Carmel with the Eastwoods about a 15 yr-old art prodigy.

He won 2nd place in 2007 in the prestigious American Artist Magazine's 70th Anniversary Competition, and placed two of his large charcoals as finalists in Artist Magazine's "The Year's Best Art" juried competition with nearly 10,000 entries.

This past summer, Bill was named the winner of American Artist Magazine's 2008 Cover Competition with his charcoal "Rossina's Apple" which appeared on the cover of Drawing Magazine.

He is also included in the winter 2008 issue of "Oranges and Sardines" a new art quarterly featuring some of the country's best artists and poets. In addition to placing work in many private collections, one of Bill's large charcoals was purchased for H&R Block's corporate collection at their World Headquarters.
