Where Is the Supreme Court of the United States?

The Attorney General of the United States, Pam Bondi, has now filed an official complaint against Federal District Court Judge James Boasberg with the Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, Sri Srinivasan. I will not risk dignifying either the complainant or the complaint by even so much as reciting its preposterous allegations.

I will say only the obvious. These despicable attacks on the Federal Judiciary by the President of the United States and his Attorney General are going to continue every day until the Supreme Court stops them, which at this point it is the Supreme Court’s highest responsibility to do — immediately.

With every passing day and every vicious attack on the federal courts and the individual judges of the Courts of the United States, the President and the Attorney General are further delegitimizing the Federal Judiciary — including the Supreme Court itself — in the eyes of millions and millions of Americans and corrupting the Rule of Law in the United States of America.

And with every passing day that the Supreme Court refuses to denounce the President and his Attorney General for these insufferable attacks, out of either fear or favor, the Supreme Court’s own legitimacy is further compromised and the complete corruption of the Rule of Law draws nearer.

Just what is the role of the Supreme Court, if it is not to denounce the President of the United States and his Attorney for their manifest efforts to corrupt the Federal Judiciary and the Rule of Law in America?

If nothing else, does the Supreme Court not understand it has a solemn obligation to the other 875 Judges of the United States to defend the Judiciary and the Rule of Law against these attacks?

I can all too well imagine how demoralizing this must be for those other 875 Judges of the United States, who are on the front lines of this President’s war on the Federal Judiciary and the Rule of Law sustaining these reprehensible attacks, awaiting the Supreme Court to come to their defense and to the defense of the Rule of Law. All the while, the Supreme Court is watching passively and mum, with acquiescence, if not approval.
