AND 1871 ANNOUNCE CLOUDSPOTTER PHOTO TECHNOLOGY EXTENDED TO 1871 PARTNERS
ACROSS UNITED STATES
Four
Additional Tech Hubs Will Work With 1871 Member Company CloudSpotter To Bring
Next Generation Professional Photography To Their Startup Communities
CHICAGO
(November 19, 2015) – 1871 and CloudSpotter today announced that
CloudSpotter’s photo sharing technology will be extended to four of 1871’s tech
hub partners, which will launch pilot programs with the dynamic photo sharing
technology. CloudSpotter’s platform offers opportunities for these tech hubs
and their member companies to more effectively tell their stories and engage
with audiences through high quality professional photos. The tech hubs that
will launch the six-month pilots are The Nashville Entrepreneur Center
(Nashville, TN), CoCo (Minneapolis, MN), Capital Factory (Austin, TX), and
American Underground (Durham, NC).
“Access to high-quality,
rapidly distributed photos has opened up a world of possibilities for Chicago
startups, particularly in the realm of engagement and exposure,” said
CloudSpotter Founder and CEO Ryan Jacobs. “We’re thrilled to expand access to
photos through the use of our technology to like-minded entrepreneurs and tech
hubs across the United States.”
During the pilot program,
CloudSpotter will help locate quality photographers in each participating
incubator’s city and equip those photographers to utilize CloudSpotter’s
cloud-based platform to collect, process, and distribute photos. CloudSpotter
will also provide detailed advice on best practices for incubator photography
from its experience as 1871’s photography partner.
“1871’s partnerships with tech hubs across the United States and
around the world create substantial benefits for our member companies,” said
1871 CEO Howard A. Tullman. “We couldn’t be more proud of what CloudSpotter has
accomplished, and are excited to help share their technology with our
partners.”
The partnerships with CloudSpotter
will launch later this year and the pilot programs will extend for six months.
1871 has been working with CloudSpotter directly for approximately six months,
and is both using the technology and also working with CloudSpotter on a
program that allows a full-time professional photographer to be on site at 1871
to work with the member companies and the organization.
“Our partnership with 1871 and other
tech hubs offers so many opportunities to help us create a dynamic and
supportive environment for our entrepreneurs,” said American Underground Chief
Strategist Adam Klein. “We’re thrilled to be one of the incubators to pilot
this technology and provide valuable resources throughout our community.”
