1871 And Chicago’s Entrepreneurial Community
CHICAGO (SEPTEMBER ##,
2015) – The
Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center today announced that A.T. Kearney will be
honored for its commitment to entrepreneurship through its partnership with
startup companies. A.T. Kearney will receive the Corporate Champion Award
during the Eighth Annual Momentum Awards Dinner, which is produced by the
Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center for the benefit of 1871.
“A.T. Kearney has been an amazing partner to our
startups, which benefit tremendously from the individualized resources and
advice that the A.T. Kearney team provides,” said 1871 CEO Howard A. Tullman.
“We are excited to showcase their commitment to entrepreneurship and innovation
with this year’s Corporate Champion Award.”
A.T. Kearney was selected in part due to the company’s
innovative commitment to fostering entrepreneurship at 1871, which is largely
centered around an innovative program to foster pro bono consulting
opportunities for 1871 members. They are also being recognized for their
broader commitment to Chicago.
“A.T. Kearney has deep roots in the Chicago
business community, and we are thrilled to accept the Corporate Champion Award
as we support 1871 and its entrepreneurs,” said A.T. Kearney's representative. “By
facilitating opportunities for collaboration and innovation amongst startups
and larger businesses, we can create a positive impact throughout Chicago’s
economy and shape the future business landscape of the city.”
1871 member companies Unbranded Designs, Heirlume,
Savvo, and Let’s Play Please have worked directly with A.T. Kearney
consultants to receive valuable feedback and strategic recommendations. Each of
the companies used the expert advice from A.T. Kearney to make critical changes
in their business models or implement new strategic directions for their
companies.
“Working with A.T. Kearney was an amazing experience
for me and for my company,” said Let’s Play Please Founder Mariela Santori. “A.T
Kearney’s team not only gave me meaningful advice regarding business strategy,
but also helped me implement their recommendations to ensure that their
feedback was truly valuable for my company.”
Last year, Motorola Mobility was honored with the
corporate champion award. Past recipients have included JPMorgan Chase and PNC
Bank.
The Corporate Champion is one of four awards that will
be bestowed at the coming event, including the Momentum Award, the Chicagoness
Award, and the Entrepreneurial Champion. The event, which will take place at
the Radisson Blu hotel, will draw 750 of the top supporters of business and
entrepreneurship in Chicago together. It is the largest gathering of the tech
community annually and the primary fundraiser for CEC, which supports the
activities and operations of 1871.
Anyone interested in attending the Momentum Dinner can
register at http://www.1871.com/2015Momentum. 1871 makes an effort to open up
the dinner to entrepreneurs, and facilitates strong interactions between some
of our best entrepreneurs and the attendees of the dinner. The dinner is the
premier fundraising event for technology in Chicago, and has been a key facet
of CEC and 1871 celebrations since its inception.
