THUNK is Northwestern's premier co-ed a cappella group. The group arranges all of their own music and records cds, allowing members to develop both their musical talents and vocal abilities. After their tour to Cape Town, South Africa in 2005, THUNK has created The Cape Town Project, a music education tour and performing arts camp in the townships of Cape Town in conjunction with the Ikamva Labantu charity for mothers and children suffering from HIV/AIDS.
