Artist's Statement
I'm originally from Florida. I've drawn and painted all my life and have been lucky to have a very supportive family. My first year in college I spent at Columbus College of Art and Design and then transferred to the University of Georgia. Upon graduation, I moved to Atlanta where I've been working as an illustrator and storyboard artist. I've recently decided to focus solely on my own paintings. I like to use traditional oil painting to portray popular/ kitch culture with themes of childhood and innocence. Basically, I've tried to distill it all down to what I find to be the most interesting and honest things for me to paint -and to paint.
