Herzl thought establishing Israel would end
anti-Semitism because we’d have our own land, no longer be the perpetual
minority, and be universally accepted.
He was wrong. We survive as a people today because of our astounding
resilience, but equally because of the moral and military
strength of the IDF and their daily sacrifices.
