Park Hyung Jin lives and works in Seoul, South Korea. His approach to painting portraits is remarkable and unique as he does nothing to disguise the effect of the lens on the photographs he uses for source images. His technique, extremely precise and meticulous, reflects his undeniable skill that he passes on to his students who serve as his subjects for these large scale portraits. No doubt a commentary on the fetishism of young Asian women, Jin invokes a dash of individuality, personality, and strength with each painting.
