Eli's Cheesecake Supports Flashpoint-Chicago's Academy of Media Arts and Sciences
Howard Tullman, CEO of Flashpoint spent part of his Valentine's Day taking Eli's Marc Schulman on a tour of his new state of the art school in the historic Burnham Center across from Chicago's City Hall.
Howard Tullman, the President of Flashpoint, the Academy of Media Arts & Sciences is a great friend to Eli's and to me. When Howard was President of Kendall College and led its move from Evanston to Chicago, I had the pleasure to deliver the final commencement address in Evanston and then Eli's was able to support Kendall at its Goose Island Campus by participating in a number of special events. We then followed Howard across Chicago Avenue as a Founding Sponsor of Experiencia. Thousands of Chicago elementary school students are getting their initial exposure to commerce and entrepreneurship through the interarctive program in the class room and at the Experiencia facility with its Eli's Cheesecake Bakery and timeline.
Now Howard is developing another bold vision with the opening of Flashpoint. Located in the historic Burnham Center at 28 North Clark, Howard is taking post-secondary education in game development, film, computer animation and recording arts in bold new direction. With state of the art facilities, Flashpoint teaches students with true experiential learning by taking project from conception through post-production---the way work is done in the real world. By letting students work with the best equipment possible, in real-world working conditions, top faculty, and real-world time frames, Flashpoint graduates will be prepared for outstanding careers in the new media of arts & sciences.
Congratulations Howard, your faculty, staff and students.
