International Recording Artist David Broza Holds Music and Career Workshop and Performance for Flashpoint Academy Students

Thanks to John Murray, Dan Epstein, George Luif, Bernie Mack and Steven Berger as well as their student team, the Steelcase Studios were converted into an even more robust multimedia learning environment with multiple cameras which permitted everyone in the room to study Broza's incredible playing style and extensive sound reinforcement so that everyone in the room heard every note, noise and emotion in the amazing 75 minute performance which was also filmed and recorded.

Broza performed 15 different songs in 3 languages (English, Spanish and Hebrew) and took the time to translate some songs as he went along. He also told some interesting stories about various collaborations including one with Jackson Browne who translated and added some phrases to one of David's earliest hits. He played both the English and Hebrew versions of that important song for us.

Broza answered student questions throughout the session and added many personal comments and observations about essential Flashpoint Academy concepts such as laser-like focus, collaboration, teamwork, risk-taking, etc. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see a performer of this magnitude up close and personal.

David was incredibly generous with him time considering that he was between concerts and due to perform later that evening at WTTW. He toured the facility, visited with staff and faculty members as well as students throughout the day, and even found time for a trip to see Experiencia.
