I wish to thank the dedicated filmmakers for your patience as we wrapped up this year’s judging. SBIAF 2009 was 5 times the size of last year’s event. We had no idea that the festival would develop at such velocity. While growth is wanted and needed to succeed it must be monitored to sustain. There will be several changes in our next festival. We look forward to seeing you and your films there.

Judging Note: When too few films were submitted into a category those films were judged in the Short Animation group. Honorable Mention Awards were given to those films that came very close to winning their specific category.
